Math & English Placement
All students need placements in Math and English to enroll in those disciplines.
SBCC uses high school coursework and grades for placement into Math & English courses (except for English as a Second Language (ESL) course and Dual Enrollment students). This data is collected as part of your SBCC application.
Dual Enrollment Students: You must have your high school counselor submit the appropriate Counselor Form For Student Placement on the Dual Enrollment website.
To look up your Math and English placements:
- Log onto your account.
- Hover over "Student Resources."
- Click on "Profile."
- Click on 鈥淧rior Education and Testing."
- View your placement levels on the right hand side under the "Testing" section.

You may update your placement once using the Placement Form. After that, please email a copy of your transcript to assessment@sbcc.edu for evaluation.

ESL Assessment
